Happy 50th Birthday to Apple Inc.!
Five decades of thinking different, and still pushing boundaries.

Founded on April 1, 1976, by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in Los Altos, California, Apple began with a simple idea, a bare logic board built for hobbyists who supplied their own keyboard, power, and display.

Everything changed in April 1977 with the introduction of the Apple II, helping bring computing into homes and classrooms. Then came January 24, 1984, when Apple launched the Macintosh, redefining how people interact with technology through a graphical user interface.

From those early breakthroughs to today’s world of Mac computers, laptops, iPods, iPads, iPhones, Apple Watch, and beyond, Apple has continuously reshaped the way we live, work, and connect.

And that’s just the story so far. The real excitement is what comes next.
