CATHEDRAL CHAPEL SCHOOL, A MACMYDAY SUCCESS STORY.
MacMyDay were called in to help Cathedral Chapel School (CCS) in Los Angeles to consult with a new computer lab solution. After the initial consultation, they went with our recommendation of the new Intel iMac for their aging computer lab. Their computer lab consisted of 36 old and tired G4 eMac’s. Todd and Tommy looked at the job in front of them, and started to work. The removal and set-up of the computers were done in a assembly line manner. Some of the iMac’s needed to migrate old user information. While working, the kids were looking on, excited and cheering. The basic job was completed in a day, all 36 iMacs. Miss Marlow (the computer lab teacher) wrote this about the day…
ONCE UPON A MAC
A story of endings and beginnings. A story of pride and commitment. A story of the CCS Computer Lab.
It all started with 36 iMac’s. Each iMac lined up like a proud solider waiting to be called to duty…The old eMacs were worn and tired. They have done great things at CCS, but it is now time to be replaced by the young and the fit. The fast and the strong… There were two captains leading the old out and the new in… (Todd & Tommy). A few of the eMacs remained quiet and silent as they were about to be replaced. A few of the eMacs did not blink for a second. They did not want to miss the transition. Would each iMac understand fully what would be expected of them? Friendships were made… iMacs waited their turn… They found their new station… which would be their new home… and lined themselves up. They are ready for the new challenges that will soon face them. PowerPoint Reports, Mult-Media reports, Charts, Formulas and Functions in Excel, Typing, WebQuests and more. They will take our learning into the 21st Century and Beyond!
